I received my undergraduate degree in psychology and graduate degree in counseling. I also completed a two-year post-graduate training at the St. Louis Psychoanalytic Institute and additional training in Dialectal Behavior Therapy at BJC Behavioral Health (in conjunction with the Missouri Department of Mental Health). I've worked in both community mental health and private practice settings. I'm in continuous study groups and peer collaborations, as I believe we (human beings) are dynamically complex and fascinating. I intentionally do not specialize, preferring instead to find and utilize value from the diverse life experiences found naturally among us. However, I do have special interest and/or deeper experience working with the spectrum of depression and anxiety, addictions, survivor issues, infertility (especially male-factor), adoption issues, couples work, and children and adolescents.

While training and experience absolutely matter I also encourage you to consider chemistry or the "fit" when beginning an endeavor so significant as therapy. Feeling comfortable and safe will facilitate a successful outcome more often than credentials.
